Styracosaurus

Styracosaurus is a genus of herbivorous ceratosaurs dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period 75 million years ago. Its neck ruffles have four to six long parietal spikes, each cheek has a small back corner of the neck, and a corner protruding from the nose, which may be as long as 60 cm (2 feet) and 15 cm (6 inches) wide. One or more functions of corners and frills have been debated for many years.

Styracosaurus is a relatively large dinosaur, 5.5 meters (18 feet) long and weighing almost 3 tons. It is about 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) high. Styracosaurus has four short legs and a huge body. Its tail is quite short. The skull has a beak and snipped cheek teeth arranged in a continuous battery of teeth, indicating that the animal cut the plant into thin slices.
