Carnotaurus

Carnotaurus is a theropod dinosaur belonging to the Abelisaurus family, which lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous Period (probably about 72 to 69.9 million years ago).

Carnotaurus is a predator with a light body structure and two-legged action. It is estimated to be about 7.5 to 9 meters in length and weigh at least 1.35 tons. In the case of theropods, Carnotaurus is highly specialized and unique.

It has thick horns above its eyes, which have not been observed in all other theropods; the head with a very high and deep view grows on the thick, muscular neck. Another distinctive feature is the extremely short forelimbs that have degenerated into trace organs, and the long, slender hindlimbs.
