You might think it is a dinosaur movie by Disney because the visuals are Disney-like, but it’s not. This film, however, is directed by Lino DiSalvo, a Disney veteran. 

Anyway, it tells the story of siblings Maria and Charlie, who have accidentally entered into the magical world of Playmobil; where they met dinosaurs, pirates, robots, knights, Vikings, and other visually amusing beings. However, Charlie found himself in the ill company of an evil emperor. 

So, Maria sought help from a daring truck driver and clumsy secret agent—together they went on an adventure of a lifetime.

What we like about this movie: 

While this movie does not really focus on dinosaurs but dragons, this is probably one of the few films in this dinosaur movies list that you will love—this is the third film of the movie series “How To Train Your Dragon” which started in 2010 (which we will talk more about later)

This particular movie, however, tells the coming-of-age story of Hiccup and Toothless—the human and dragon characters, respectively.

We will say that this is more like a film for teens than a dinosaur movie for kids who are below ten years old. However, the dino keeps growing fast and becomes harder to keep as a secret.

It tells the story of a Jurassic Park founder who hires a scientist to create a great dino-hybrid called Indominus Rex. But the dinosaur escapes and they ask an unlikely dinosaur trainer to save the day.

It tells the story of how Scrat, a saber-toothed and acorn-obsessed squirrel, sets off a series of unfortunate events by accidentally launching himself into the outer space; causing an asteroid to hurl towards Earth, and the herds of mammoths, sloths, and other prehistoric animals find new lands to save themselves from such a cosmic catastrophe that happened to the dinosaurs who lived before them.
