We once made one 2.4 meters (about 7.9 feet) long animatronic mantis. This mantis is called idolomantis diabolica. The aim of making this giant animatronic insect is to let the visitors learn more about the amazing creature. For now, it has been exhibiting at a natural museum.
The animatronic mantis is made from three thick layers of silicone and high-density foam. So it will be waterproof and sunproof. You can start it with 110V or 220V, then the beautiful insect will wiggle its abdomen and open its “scythe” to greet visitors.
The size of the animatronic mantis can be customizable. Come and take it!
